“In 2004, Sufjan Stevens took a break from his states project and released what, in my mind, is his greatest album to date, Seven Swans. When tossing around ideas of albums to cover, Seven Swans stood out amongst all the others. Described by one of the artists involved in this project as “essential and quietly strong”, Seven Swans is one of those albums that reveals something new and different to each of us with every listen.

We have spent the last few months talking with Lenny Smith at Sounds Familyre Records, and Sufjan through him. With their help, we have been able to compile what we believe to be a very impressive and exciting group of artists.
